Property Clerk 2 - Canada Summer Jobs Program
The Organizational Development and Strategy Unit of The United Church of Canada is seeking an individual to fill the role of Property Clerk as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program for 2026. This is an 8-week program at 35 hours per week with an anticipated start date of June 15, 2026.
The Property Clerk will work in a hybrid workplace model (office/home), primarily working from offices at 50 Wynford Drive. The Property Clerk will work independently but also will collaborate with the other Property Clerk, with direct oversight and supervision from the Church Engagement Lead.
The Project's goal is to build, develop and refine a property and rental resource library to be housed within a scalable multi-site platform showcasing every United Church in Canada, providing a practical resource and engagement toolkit for congregations to support rental growth.
Primary responsibilities include:
- The development of critical digital assets for use on a scalable multi-site platform showcasing every United Church in Canada United Church.
- Organize, synthesize, and digitize information (images, documents, floor plans, seating charts, branded fillable rental agreements, leases, FAQs, and rental documents, in preparation for the uploading onto the platform/website.
- Develop a large library of digital assets that are “ready to go”, fillable form creation of multiple documents and agreements.
- Content creation is the backbone of the position; Content must be curated for web and print as per project requirements.
- Categorize, and build a comprehensive property and searchable rental catalogue system
- Working extensively with Microsoft 365, Canva, Adobe Pro, the student will learn how to gather information and will have the abiility to create and build social media assets
Qualifications
- Youth between the ages of 15 to 30 are eligible to apply for this position
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Post secondary education
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written ability, excellent communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office – ability to work with computers and basic platforms such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Basic CSS, HTML experience an asset
- Cataloging and Research experience an asset
- Keen eye for graphic design
- Self Starter - ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Social media savvy
- Knowledge and basic understanding of the United Church is an asset

Compensation
Salary will be at $22.22 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.
