Data Quality Specialist 1 - Canada Summer Jobs Program

The Church and Mission Unit of The United Church of Canada is seeking an individual to fill the role of Data Quality Specialist as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program for 2026. This is an 8-week program at 35 hours per week with an anticipated start date of June 1, 2026.

Primary Responsibilities will include: 

  • Database clean up to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
  • Analyzing and validating data 
  • Developing and implementing data quality rules and standards 
  • Identifying and resolving data inconsistencies 
  • Monitoring data quality processes 
  • Data entry and data transfer
  • Generate reports upon requests

Qualifications

  • Youth between the ages of 18 to 30 are eligible to apply for this position
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
  • Post secondary education
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written ability, excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office – ability to work with computers and basic platforms such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of the United Church is an asset

Compensation

Salary will be at $22.22 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.
